More than 10.3 thousand tons of vegetables and fruits are planned to be laid in the stabilization fund of the Minsk region, Tamara Loiko, head of the consumer market regulation department of the main trade and services department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, told BelTA.

"To provide the population of the Minsk region with crop production, 4,167 tons of potatoes, 2.49 tons of cabbage, 990 tons of carrots, 850 tons of beets, 1,057 tons of onions will be laid in the stabilization fund for the interseasonal period 2018-2019 onions and 800 tons of fruit ", - said Tamara Loiko.

According to her, compared with the level of last year, 2.7% less harvest onions. The bookmark volume of the remaining crops will not change.

Plant production will be placed in vegetable and fruit storage facilities managed by agricultural, trade organizations, organizations of consumer cooperation systems and in farms.

The laying of fruits and vegetables in the stabilization fund in the central region is planned to be completed before November 15.

Also, residents of the Minsk region will be able to purchase fruits and vegetables during the farming season, the season which started in the region on September 15. Agricultural, processing, trading enterprises, forestry and fish farms, farmers and individual entrepreneurs will present at fairs at the weekend a wide range of agricultural products of the new crop, meat, dairy, culinary, confectionery products, as well as other food and non-food products, seeds, seedlings, agricultural equipment. < / p>

In the seven major cities of the region from September 29 to October 27 organized regional fairs. They have already passed in Borisov, Molodechno, Vileika and Zhodino. The following regional sales are scheduled for October 13 in Soligorsk, October 21 in Nesvizh and October 27 in Slutsk. The fair season will last until November 3.
