Plans for additional incentives for frontline health workers in Belarus

Monday, 06 April 2020

There are plans to introduce additional incentives for healthcare personnel in Belarus, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“Such an incentive package is already in place. Additional instructions given to the government by the head of state are being fulfilled. We are set to develop additional incentives for frontline health workers, not only for doctors, but also for nurses and other healthcare staff involved,” Igor Petrishenko said.

In his words, the situation over coronavirus remains absolutely manageable in Belarus. As soon as the threat became obvious, the epidemiological service was put on high alert. In other words, all the measures were taken in time to identify the source, stem it and trace all contacts. The entire health system was mobilized, the vice premier noted.
