Belarus' MPs to discuss ratification of visa agreement with EU on 2 April

The spring session of the Belarusian parliament will open on 2 April. On this day members of the House of Representatives will discuss the ratification of the agreements on visa facilitation and readmission, BelTA learned from the press service of the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament.

The agenda of the first day of the session features eight points. Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and the bill on amendments to codes regulating appeals process will be introduced for the first reading.

Amendments to the law on the Belarus Red Cross Society will be considered in the second reading. In addition to the agreements with the EU, the legislature will discuss the ratification of the social security agreement with Moldova and a strategic partnership agreement with Tajikistan. The agenda also includes the ratification of the protocol on introducing amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union as of 29 May 2014. According to the press service, the amendments have to do with the formation of the common electric energy market of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Council of the Republic, the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament, will also open its spring session on 2 April.
